Freedom, the saviour of distraction plagued Internet workers recently turned 0.4.

Freedom is an application that disables networking on an Apple computer for up to eight hours at a time. Since Version 0.4, Freedom allows to keep your Local Area Network intact, so you can still do Rails or browse your local Webserver. This feature really held me from fully using it in the past.
For myself, I mostly use Freedom when I do tasks which are not really amazing, like fixing bugs for our beloved IE for example. The less fun you have with a task, the faster you get distracted. Freedom really helps to concentrate and get all those nasty tasks done.
