Chasing food trucks and good coffee in Georgia

Ashley Harpp — Customer Success Champion @ Wildbit

Well, hello there!

I’m Ashley — a proud southerner, and avid traveler. I work here at Wildbit as part of the customer success team. I live with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter in the sunny state of Georgia. I love books, European coffee (or any coffee for that matter :), food trucks, and anything related to culture.

So, how did I end up at Wildbit? Well, for one, I love helping people. It’s something that I genuinely like to do, and have always done as a byproduct of anything I do professionally, and personally. Needless to say, when I discovered that Wildbit was hiring, I knew instantly it would be great a fit! I had been following their blog for some time, and always admired their transparent, yet friendly approach to things. Also, after honestly assessing my own core values, I realized how much they harmonized with the team at Wildbit.

So I applied, and viola!

I’ve worked in support, and as a front end developer for SaaS and startup teams. I attended a local college, but gained the bulk of my knowledge from reading a LOT of books, online code schools such as Treehouse, and taking on a hefty amount of freelance projects.

At my core, I absolutely love to learn and share knowledge. I think it’s important to not only gain knowledge for yourself, but also share it with others, especially if it will benefit them. I’ve learned that to be happy in this field, there is a fair amount of teaching, and a generous amount of learning! You’ll never stop learning when it comes to technology, so it takes a very humble, and patient attitude to be successful, and I pride myself on being just that.

When I’m not working, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our daughter, playing tennis, and volunteering. We started a small program locally called, “Camp Basic”. It’s our way of helping younger and older ones get acquainted with technology. We have a mentorship program, and host classes discussing simple concepts such as setting up phones and tablets (generally for the older crowd :) ), or setting up web hosting for a website you may be creating. It’s a fun project that we try to do each summer to help those in the community better acquaint themselves with the ever-changing world of technology.

Overall, I’m thrilled to be joining a group of intelligent, and highly motivated people. It’s rare to find individuals who truly value their work, and do their utmost to bring out the best in each other. It’s also exciting to know that I’ll be continuing to do what I’ve spent the majority of my life doing — helping others. I look forward to buckling down and getting to know our customer base, and helping the team improve experiences.
