It’s time to expand our team with another software tester to review and improve the quality of our products, Beanstalk, Postmark and DeployBot. At Wildbit, almost nothing gets to production without QA, so this is an extremely important role to fill.
We are looking for someone who has at least three years of testing experience and the desire to constantly learn and improve the quality of our products.
You should understand that testing is more than finding bugs and reporting pass rates for test cases, and instead communicating risks, helping and working with developers to find weaknesses in their code, and making sure that what is delivered to our customers is working correctly. As a software tester, you should be able to plan, prioritize and administrate your own work (no babysitting here).
This position requires great testing skills and attention to the smallest details.
You should be comfortable with:
- Manual Testing (Black/Gray Box Testing, Exploratory Testing, Cross Browser Testing)
- Test Plans/Test Cases
- Task Management/Bug Tracking
- Version control systems (Git and Subversion)
- Automated Testing
Extra points for:
- API testing experience
- Moderate knowledge of programming languages
- Understanding of email and internationalization
What’s it like working with Wildbit?
We’re like a family, most of us working out of our office in Old City, Philadelphia, and a few people in Russia and Serbia. We value quiet time, beautiful design, and clean code. We take our work very seriously and expect each person to be self motivated. Of course, we also have a lot of fun. At least once per year we have a company retreat in a large villa for a week. Past retreats include Dominican Republic, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey. We have family lunches each day in the office, prepared by the Wildbit chef. We also do our fair share of happy hours with the team.
Location can be remote or our Philadelphia office. We will help anyone willing to relocate.
