Freedom is an application that disables networking on an Apple computer for up to eight hours at a time. Freedom will free you from the distractions of the internet, allowing you time to code, write, or create. At the end of your selected offline period, Freedom re-enables your network, restoring everything as normal.

There are many tools testers use for reviewing web applications every day. In daily tasks some of the most used applications include virtual machine for testing in different enviroments and a screen capturing application for reporting bugs with screenshots. I will present you couple of free tools for Windows which I use all the time.

Gilbert (our kick-ass designer from Germany) just jumped in IM to tell me that Beanstalk was featured in .net magazine (issue 184). The article is about Subversion in general and there is a great full page description about Beanstalk taking the hassle out of managing a server. When you work so hard on a product, a feature like this is hugely rewarding.

Hi there. My name is Ilya Sabanin and I’m the lead Beanstalk developer. This is my first blog post here, even though I have worked at Wildbit since April (and really enjoying it). I plan to post some more stuff about our development process, improvements and new features in Beanstalk, and other interesting stuff.

Today I want to introduce the refined repository export in Beanstalk.

We released a great new feature for Newsberry: Highrise integration.

Highrise is an online contact manager and address book, which keeps contact info centralized, sharable, and safe online. By integrating with Newsberry, you can synchronize contacts between Newsberry and Highrise. This is the first integration tool for Newsberry and we plan to release more in the near future.

Again and again I face the situation when I have to setup a time delay in the web app I’m working on. Actually, such delays and checks that suspend the web app flow can be very useful. In this short post, I’d like to describe a couple of the most common cases where time delays make sense.

Scrum as a process of software development is often used in agile development environment, and no wonder that it’s so popular: it’s very easy to learn and requires little effort to start using it.

Chris recommended scrum to the team and after couple of months of experimenting and polishing the process, we are using it successfully in our virtual team. I will show you how we are using scrum.
